Welcome To June! Where have the last six months gone?
Y’all, I am tired. Rested, settled, picking up the pieces, but so gottdamned tired. I haven’t shared much, posted much, or done a podcast in a few weeks. Apologies to the Whizbangerverse, my loyal listeners, and my pals waiting to have their bands played on the podcast.
I'm getting better, which is good news! We are now settled and living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we’ll be for a few years. I went out and karaoke’d for the first time in years, and my voice cracked singing Patti Smith’s Because The Night, which is my go-to karaoke song! My husband and I did a duet with Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap–he did the Malcolm, I did the Bon. We had a blast, and it was cool just getting out and rubbing elbows with other humans for a hot minute.
Next week, we head back to California for a week, where I’ll get to watch my stepson graduate college and hang out with my brother and pals before driving all my stuff back from the Bay. I’ll be stopping in Tucson and Sedona on the way back and will then be settled for a good long while. I’m excited about getting back into a community again instead of being a global floater, which sounds groovy, but it’s exhausting, and I feel emotionally beat to shit.
I am busy getting The Whizbanger Show positioned to come back strong. Here’s what’s going on in the background:
